There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Durham Division (located in Houghton le Spring) is looking to recruit an Architectural Technician/Senior Architectural Technician to join the Division’s Technical department.

The Role

The role of Architectural Technician/Senior Architectural Technician reports to the Technical Manager.

Principle accountabilities of the role include:

• Preparation of construction packages, details and specifications.
• Working alongside external consultants and suppliers to complete a full tender package for the commercial, construction, sales and marketing team to work with
• Liaise with the NHBC Building Control department.
• Support the upkeep of the standard house type range, specifications and details as well as suggesting improvements for future packages and providing technical assistance to the team as required.
• Attend site-based meetings as and when required.
• Keep up to date with CDM and CPD responsibilities specific to the role.
• Maintain up to date with legislation and regulations as well as have an understanding of future regulations that are coming into effect within the industry.
• Assist the development and training of other more junior members of the Architectural side of the Technical department.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

Experience

• Experience of working in an equivalent Architectural role within the housebuilding sector or an Architectural Practice with experience of working on residential projects.
• Ability to be able to express technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications and Training

• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
