There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Scotland East Division is looking to recruit a Forklift Operator to join the Division’s Construction team.

The Role

The role of Forklift Operator, reports to the Site Manager and is responsible for the transportation of goods and pallets around the site.  

Principal accountabilities of the Forklift Operator role include:

• Loading and unloading materials from a variety of vehicles as they arrive onto site.
• Checking loads are secure.
• Ensuring work areas are well kept and safe.
• Comply with Site Health and Safety rules/procedures.
• At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.

Requirements, Qualifications and Skills

Role Requirements

• Valid certification to operate forklifts.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.

Qualifications and Training

• GCSE Maths and English – Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
• Valid CSCS card
• Valid CPCS card
• Valid driving licence

• Safety and quality focused mindset
• Punctual, reliable, productive, efficient and quality focussed in work and in personal standards to current industrial standards
• Takes responsibility for personal judgements and actions

The Role and Working Conditions

• You will work outside as part of our team so you will need to be enthusiastic, committed and willing to work in all weathers.
• Travel from job site to job site. However, may work at one job site for several months.
• PPE provided.
